Purpose of skylights

The skylight is a new line in the European range of Fakro products. It is a product of modern design, easy to install and has a range of functions. It is available as an opening or a non-opening version.Also skylight does not require special maintenance.

The most important feature of the skylights is giving additional light to the room. Thanks to the large glazing surface and high position in the roof skylights can let in more light to the living spaces (stairs, halls, rooms without ceilings). They work perfectly as an additional light source in e.g. restaurants or galleries creating a unique atmosphere. Recommended to give extra light also in production buildings e.g. warehouses or garages.

In rooms where light and fresh air are required, like kitchens, we recommend top hung skylights. They are fitted with a mosquito screen as standard and can be operated manually or electrically.

For skylights special flashings are available. They are ideal for a flush fit of a skylight with the roofing material.

Available for profiled roofing covers. Additional accessories combine both decorative appearance and functionality in every application. Venetian and roller blinds allow the control of the amount of light and a crank and universal control rod enable easy operation of the skylights.

 

Purpose of light tunnel

 
The SLT light tunnel is a completely new product in Fakro’s range whose main role is to supply the interior with the proper amount of natural light. The application of such skylights makes it possible to illuminate all rooms in the building, even those which cannot be fitted with roof windows or vertical windows. Dimly lit interiors such as bathrooms, dressing rooms, corridors, staircases or basements can be particularly uncomfortable to use. Thanks to the light tunnel the natural light gets into the building enhancing the user’s comfort and enabling electricity savings.
