When should flat roof windows be replaced?

  • Poor thermal insulation – if you are experiencing significant heat loss and your heating bills are rising, it is a sign that your windows no longer meet insulation standards.
  • Ventilation problems – no proper air circulation may lead to damp rooms and mould growth. When windows do not provide proper ventilation, it is a good idea to replace them.
  • Damage or leaks – visible cracks, frame deformation or leaks are a clear signal that the window has lost its tightness and must be replaced.
  • Excessive outside noise – if ambient noise becomes bothersome, old sound insulation may no longer be working properly. Modern skylights are much better at reducing outside noise.
  • No compatibility with accessories – when older windows cannot be equipped with modern accessories such as shutters, blinds or rain sensors, it is worth considering their replacement.
