In Vienna’s Währing district, a project has emerged that redefines the role of light and color in residential architecture. The Temptation demonstrates how a subtle yet bold aesthetic can shape the quality of a space. In this development, light and pearl gold create a cohesive language, giving the investment a distinctive and instantly recognizable character.
Architecture Subordinated to Light
In The Temptation, light is treated not as an accessory but as the primary material of the design. It shapes the atmosphere of the interiors and determines the rhythm of the space. A key role is played by 160 next-generation FAKRO GREENVIEW roof windows with the P50 package, which open the attics to wide views and bring soft brightness indoors. The FPW-X P50 MAX models offer a wide opening angle, while the FPW-V P50 MAX with a vent ensures a supply of fresh air. Fixed FNW P50 elements and BVW P50 L-shaped combination windows guide light deep into the apartments, creating a seamless transition between the roof slope and vertical spaces. The most striking feature is the large-scale roof glazing, which becomes the project’s signature element.
Pearl Gold as a Compositional Element
In The Temptation, color serves a structural function. The pearl gold RAL 1036 matte applied to windows and façade details creates a consistent motif that unifies the building forms. This hue interacts with light in a multidimensional way - soft at dawn, intense at noon, and pastel in the evening. This variability gives the façades a lively character that responds to the time of day. Pearl gold not only organizes the composition but also emphasizes the investment’s elegant, contemporary expression.
ARZ Z-Wave Blinds as a Complement to the Concept
The project is complemented by 164 exterior FAKRO ARZ Z-Wave blinds, finished in the same shade of pearl gold. Their presence is subtle yet significant - they create a unified line with the windows, reinforcing the rhythm of the façade.
The blinds help control light, prevent overheating, and contribute to the buildings’ energy balance. Thanks to Z-Wave technology, they can be operated remotely and integrated with smart home systems, combining aesthetics with functionality in a natural, effortless way.
Elegance Arising from Harmony
The greatest value of the project lies in its coherence. Thoughtful manipulation of light, deliberate use of color, and attention to detail create mature, harmonious architecture with understated elegance. The Temptation does not attempt to dominate through scale; it engages in a dialogue with its surroundings, emphasizing restraint and consciously made design decisions.
The culmination of this consistency is the ÖGNI Gold certification, one of the most important European awards recognizing high standards of sustainable construction. The assessment considers energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and the long-term environmental and social value of the development.
