This project in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, combines modern architecture with everyday comfort in an elegant way. The terrace area was designed as a natural extension of the interior, while also opening the house to the garden and surrounding greenery. Vertical windows and doors that define the rhythm of the house

The windows were made of pine using the MODERN 78 system. Their refined appearance was enhanced with a WALNUT wood-effect finish and an aluminium cladding in RAL 1013 MAT. This carefully selected configuration gives the entire project an elegant and timeless character while emphasising the modern style of the building. The REGULAR sash profile creates a harmonious and attractive appearance, complementing the brick façade, wooden terrace and warm interior design.

This combination made it possible to achieve both high functionality and an attractive visual effect. The tilt-and-turn windows ensure convenient everyday use and efficient ventilation. The balcony doors provide easy access to the terrace, while the fixed glazing brings more daylight into the interior and opens up views of the outdoor space. The combination of these different types of structures gives the house a sense of lightness and makes the boundary between the interior and the garden almost disappear. VMZ Solar awnings were also installed in the house. Their main purpose is to protect the interiors from excessive heat.
