When windows shape the space. A modern home revealed in full.

We often don’t need expansive spaces to create a design that impresses with creativity. A bit of imagination and a thoughtful approach to planning are enough to give even a compact interior a unique character. A perfect example is the atmospheric single family home in Cieszyn which, despite its modest size, captivates with functionality and harmony thanks to well considered solutions. Large format glazing plays a key role here, opening the interior to natural light and the surrounding landscape.

Harmony of aluminium and wood

Harmony of aluminium and woodThe house features FAKRO INNOVIEW vertical joinery, created through advanced technology that combines aluminium profiles with natural wood. The external aluminium cladding in shades of grey not only protects the structure from harsh weather conditions but also gives the façade a modern, refined appearance. Inside, oak finished with an oiled coating highlights and deepens the natural grain of the wood, introducing a warm and inviting atmosphere into the interior.

A new perspective on space

A new perspective on spaceOne of the key solutions used in the building is the HST SKY lift and slide door system. These large format glazed surfaces serve as the main source of natural light, enveloping the interior in brightness and creating an ambience full of warmth and radiance. The door construction additionally enhances the perception of space, making the home feel larger.

The boundary between the interior and the terrace is blurred by the ultra low 5 mm threshold in the HST SKY doors. This nearly invisible line seamlessly connects the two zones, creating a fluid transition that invites you to explore the outdoor area. As a result, the terrace becomes a natural extension of the living room, enriching the home with an additional recreational space.

Hidden functionality

Hidden functionalityA two sash tilt and turn window with a fixed section in the PURE 78 variant was also installed in the house. This solution maintains visual consistency with the HST doors, where one part of the structure is operable and the other fixed. Additionally, thanks to its “hidden sash” technology, the PURE system mimics the appearance of a fixed structure from the outside without losing its operability. The height of the PURE cladding also aligns with the cladding height of the HST SKY sashes, ensuring a cohesive and minimalist look.

Protection from sunlight and enhanced privacy

Large glazing surfaces are synonymous with modern style and open space, but on hot days they may contribute to excessive heat gain inside the home. To ensure comfort throughout the year, the project incorporates VMZ external awning blinds, which effectively reduce indoor temperatures. These screens absorb solar radiation before it reaches the glass and emit the heat outward, preventing the interior from overheating. What’s more, they provide discreet daytime privacy—creating a calm, intimate atmosphere perfect for relaxation, without obstructing the view outside. Their subtle, refined design integrates harmoniously with the window line, preserving the visual aesthetics of the façade.

The single family home in Cieszyn shows how thoughtful use of space can create harmony between modernity and a warm, inviting interior. FAKRO INNOVIEW joinery demonstrates that in any home it is possible to create a place where design truly serves functionality.
