The 5th edition of the international Carbon Footprint Summit entitled “Decarbonisation – why you, why now” is over. FAKRO was represented by Janusz Komurkiewicz, Management Board Member for Marketing.
The event was packed with meetings and debates. The highlight was a scientific conference, consisting of lectures and interdisciplinary discussion panels dedicated to decarbonisation. The discussion was attended by Janusz Komurkiewicz who presented FAKRO Sustainability Report 2023 titled “Together into the Green Future 2.0.”
“Our company is actively pursuing decarbonisation targets, progressively reducing CO2 emissions across the value chain. We are investing in state of state-of-the-art, low-carbon technologies, optimising production processes and engaging in renewable energy projects. These actions not only reflect our social responsibility, but are also a strategic decision that contributes to building a sustainable business,” commented by Janusz Komurkiewicz.
At the same time, the Gen Z [change] Zone project carried out in cooperation between the Foundation and the AGH University of Science and Technology was presented, which involved the academic and student community in the discourse of decarbonisation. A media space was created in the Halo Carbon Studio for debates and individual lectures by invited experts. The whole event was topped off with the presentation of statuettes in the 5th Carbon Footprint Challenge Awards.
FAKRO, like last year, was a partner of the Carbon Footprint Summit. The climate summit is organised by the Kraków-based Carbon Footprint Foundation. The event took place in Kraków on October, 7.
