FAKRO – an art gallery
FAKRO has become a branch of the IMO Gallery in Stary Sącz. Paintings from international painting plein-airs are displayed at the headquarters of the roof windows and attic ladders manufacturer. The initiative is a local interpretation of the "FAKRO - a window open to art" campaign.
On March 22, a celebratory opening exhibition took place at the company's headquarters. The event was attended by: Kazimierz Gizicki, the Mayor of Stary Sącz, representatives of the Stary Sącz Gallery and employees of FAKRO.
The marriage of the construction industry with culture and art is not cut-and-dried, but it shows our diversity and versatility. Every year, FAKRO receives about 5,000 guests from all over the world. These are representatives of our partners, architects, roofers, sellers, industry organizations, and representatives of the world of politics and the media. They come here to participate in training sessions and learn about our offer. From now on, they will also be able to admire the paintings from the IMO Gallery in Stary Sącz - explains Janusz Komurkiewicz, FAKRO Marketing Board Member.
Art has had its patrons for centuries. Now this role belongs to companies. Partnership with FAKRO gives us the opportunity to reach a growing group of recipients. History shows that the painting was and is a window to the world. It corresponds beautifully with the slogan FAKRO - a window open to art - sums up Agnieszka Tes, manager and main curator of the IMO Gallery.
The event was an excellent opportunity for cultural discussions about art and the role of business and culture in the promotion of the region of Nowy Sącz.
