FAKRO employees collect kilometres

FAKRO employees have already covered 26,205 kilometres as part of the challenge titled Kilometres of Hope with FAKRO. As many as 193 participants joined the social campaign in which every kilometre covered is a contribution to support four ill children of the employees.

“It’s only been 17 days since the campaign started and the employees have already covered 26,000 kilometres, which is more than half of our goal,” explained by Renata Damasiewicz, Media Advertising Specialist. After reaching 50,000 kilometres, each of four children in need will receive financial support from FAKRO.

The number of kilometres gained in the Endomondo challenge exceeded the expectations of the organizers. “We would never expect to see kilometres growing so fast. Employees’ willingness and their enthusiasm are enormous, while beautiful, sunny weather is also our ally, encouraging outdoor activities,” commented by Sławomir Gawlik, FAKRO Marketing Director.

An additional motivation for employees is a competition, within which, every two months, three participants with the best score at individual stages of the challenge will be awarded.  At this moment, Paweł Martuś, an employee of the Ready Product Warehouse, has covered an impressive 1,130 kilometres on his bike. “I love sports and road biking is my passion and refuge from everyday duties. I’m glad that by doing what I love, I can support others,” explained by the leader. The second place with the result of 817 km is occupied by Piotr Broniszewski, an employee of the Access Roof Lights and Light Tunnels Department, FAKRO Brand Ambassador. “Each of us may need help one day. Now the children of our colleagues need it. I’m very happy that I can have my contribution. When you do good things, good things happen to you,” commented by Piotr Broniszewski.

“The campaign is not only of an aid character, although it is its main assumption. Employees integrate, meet to train together and mobilise each other to sports activities. This is a huge added value of this imitative,” said Anna Korczyk, PR Specialist and campaign coordinator.
