FAKROteam Ran with Heart – for Maja and Szymon in the 12th Edition of Run 4 A Smile

FAKRO once again took an active part in a charitable initiative, participating in the 12th International Run 4 A Smile. This year’s edition held special meaning for the team - not only was it an act of community involvement, but it also had a deeply personal dimension, as the support was directed toward the family of one of FAKROteam’s own employees.

The FAKROteam ran for Maja Ogorzałek, a six-year-old girl from Mszalnica and the daughter of a FAKRO employee. Maja lives with Down syndrome, a severe heart defect, and multiple other conditions that require intensive rehabilitation. The team also supported Szymon Podgórski, another six-year-old from Roztoka Ryterska, born prematurely and living with cerebral palsy.

Run 4 A Smile is an event that highlights the power of local community collaboration - bringing together companies, organizations, and residents. “We’re proud that FAKRO can be part of this initiative, which combines sport with the values we hold dear: solidarity, empathy, and meaningful action to help others,” said Bożena Damasiewicz, Director of the FAKRO Management Board Office.

The presence of the FAKROteam at the starting line was not only a show of company solidarity - it was a tangible gesture of support for children in need. The race provided an opportunity for employee bonding, promoting the value of social responsibility, and demonstrating that FAKRO is committed to causes that truly matter.

The event took place on May 31, 2025, at the Galician Town heritage park in Nowy Sącz.
