International Day for Biological Diversity at FAKRO

On May 22, we celebrate the International Day for Biological Diversity – a perfect opportunity to reflect on the importance of protecting species richness and maintaining ecosystem balance, including in our immediate surroundings.

Last year, FAKRO installed an insect hotel on the company grounds. This structure not only supports the local natural environment, but also serves an educational purpose – reminding us each day of the essential role even the smallest organisms play in the ecosystem.

To mark this year's celebration, a new squirrel house has also been added, placed in a quiet spot among the trees near our company’s green space. It seems a new red-furred resident has already moved in!

Protecting biodiversity begins with small steps – and every one of them matters. At FAKRO, business development goes hand in hand with care for the natural environment and creating a space that welcomes wildlife as well.
