Although the weather this year was not good, as many as 400 people took part in the second edition of Albintra-FAKRO Classic, which was held on 4 September. Belgian town of Broechem where Albintra has its head office hosted many fans of cycling. Having good fun and in excellent atmosphere they provided aid for the needy people.
FAKRO Team was represented by a strong group, which together with a number of enthusiasts of riding a bike completed the distance of 60 km (ladies), 100 km (men) and 30 km, the so-called family distance.
In the spirit of sportsmanship – like last year – cyclists supported Children and Youth Pulderbos Rehabilitation Centre. ”Seeing the enthusiasm of cyclists and their commitment to helping others, our level of motivation for further work reaches its zenith!”, commented with delight Steven Hare Bosh, Director of Pulderbos Rehabilitation Centre.
“We would like to thank all people for their engagement and organizational support. We are glad that we could contribute to rebuilding our centre. FAKRO Team was represented by amazing people, full of passion, energy and openness to others”, – summarized Thierry Raets, CEO of Albintra, co-organizer of the cycling race.
“Cycling races became a permanent fixture in the calendar of marketing events on the markets of Benelux and enjoy very positive reactions. Strengthening image of the company by promoting sports and noble attitudes are particularly close to the marketing strategy of FAKRO. I am delighted that my colleagues from FAKRO Group took part in this special event. In addition to improving their shape and helping Pulderbos Centre, they could take pleasure from picturesque and stunning Belgian landscapes. This is a kind of thanks for their great kindness”, commented Sabina Sujew, Manager of Benelux Market.
We congratulate the organizers their professionalism, cyclists their successes and all engaged their openness to helping others.
