FAKRO, the world’s second largest manufacturer of roof windows and loft ladders, has been awarded the prestigious honorary badge named Order of Merit of the Inventors. This distinction has been given by the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the request of the Polish Patent Office.
The awarded order is an expression of appreciation for FAKRO for its special contribution to building the strength of Polish technical thought based on innovative solutions, including merits in the protection of intellectual property of Polish engineers.
“Innovation is in our DNA. FAKRO is the author of more than 160 patent applications. Our solutions reach almost 50 countries all over the world, enjoying the trust of customers”, – commented by Henryk Musiał, FAKRO R&D Dept. Director who received the prize on behalf of the company.
The ceremony of awarding the order took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw on 26 November as part of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Patent Office and industrial property protection system in Poland.
The Polish Patent Office was established on 28 December 1918. A year later, Poland acceded to the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property, joining international cooperation in this field.
