History

FAKRO was established in 1991 in Nowy Sącz, a city located approximately 100 km south of Kraków and close to the Polish Tatra Mountains.

The company’s origins date back to the 1980s. FAKRO founder Ryszard Florek, the current President and co-owner of the company, established a woodworking business in Tymbark in 1986. Experience gained from this activity contributed to the development and production of roof windows in Nowy Sącz.

Today, FAKRO is an internationally operating manufacturer of roof windows and related building products. The FAKRO Group consists of manufacturing companies and foreign subsidiaries in various countries and employs more than 3,300 people.

The company offers a broad range of roof windows, accessories and loft ladders. FAKRO products are available in numerous markets around the world.
