Natural light in your rhythm
A new generation of GREENVIEW roof windows, complemented by FAKRO roof window accessories, creates a cohesive solution for controlling light in the attic. Natural daylight enhances comfort, while well-matched shading options help reduce overheating and protect interiors from excessive sunlight throughout the year. It’s a blend of functionality and aesthetics that allows the space to adapt to the changing needs of the household.
A space where memories take shape
Memory is built not from single events, but from small moments repeated every day. Morning light streaming through the roof window, a conversation at the family table, the evening calm beneath the slopes. GREENVIEW roof windows form the natural backdrop for these scenes, while internal blinds, awning blinds and external roller shutters allow you to adjust the amount of light and limit heat gain. The rhythm of the day shapes the space - not the other way around. Over time, these well-designed moments create a personal mosaic of memories.

Internal blinds – a detail that transforms the attic
Internal accessories for roof windows define the character of the interior just as clearly as finishing materials or wall colours. Internal blinds - including blackout and pleated models - offer precise light control and ensure privacy. A variety of fabrics and a wide colour palette make it easy to match the shading to both modern and classic interiors. The right roof window blind organises the proportions of light and emphasises the attic’s aesthetics, enhancing everyday comfort.
Thermal comfort begins outdoors
The most effective protection against overheating works where sunlight reaches first - before the glass. The AMZ Komfort awning blind for roof windows reduces the penetration of solar energy up to eight times more effectively than an internal blind, absorbing sunlight before it reaches the glazing unit. When both heat protection and room darkening are needed, the ARZ Komfort external roller shutter is the ideal choice. Both solutions stabilise attic temperatures, improve comfort during hot days and support the building’s energy efficiency. Their matching colour options harmonise with the cladding, preserving the aesthetic of the roof and the overall form of the house.

Light and temperature under your control
FAKRO products are available within Smart Home systems based on Z-Wave radio communication and WiFi Tuya, allowing seamless integration with other home automation devices. Users can control roller shutters and awning blinds using remote controls, wall switches, timed schedules and mobile apps. Additionally, FAKRO offers its own FAKRO Smart app - designed for convenient management of all brand products in one place. This approach allows you to adjust shading behaviour to the daily rhythm of the home, enhancing comfort and functionality in the attic.
What effect do you want to achieve in the attic?
Do you want to reduce heat gain, create a pleasant dimmed atmosphere or gently diffuse the light? Explore roof window accessories and choose a solution that fits the way you use your attic.

Cooler attic in summer
The AMZ Komfort awning blind reduces attic overheating by stopping sunlight before it reaches the roof window glass. As a result, the interior stays pleasantly cooler even on hot days, while the semi-transparent fabric allows natural light and an outside view to remain.

Effective interior darkening
The ARZ Komfort external roller shutter, mounted on the outside of the roof window, limits incoming light and helps maintain a pleasant indoor climate during hot days. The aluminium construction protects the glazing from sunlight and weather conditions, and when lowered, it provides clear and effective darkening of the room.

Pleasant, diffused light
The ARP roller blind gently diffuses sunlight entering through the roof window, creating a pleasant atmosphere in the room. It allows you to regulate the amount of light in the attic, while a wide selection of colours and patterns makes it a decorative element of the interior.

Comfortable dimming
The ARF blackout blind made from blackout fabric limits incoming light and helps create a pleasant dimmed atmosphere in the room. A rich colour palette allows the blind to be matched to any interior design, and in the ARF Print version, a custom print can be applied.

Free light control
The APS pleated blind allows precise control of the amount of light entering through the roof window. Thanks to the Top-Down system, it can be operated freely using both the upper and lower bar, positioning the fabric anywhere on the window and covering any selected area of the glass.

Ambient interior darkening
The APF pleated blind combines a decorative appearance with the ability to limit the amount of light entering through the roof window. The blackout fabric helps create a pleasant dimmed environment ideal for relaxation, and the pleated construction allows flexible positioning of the blind.
See how light shapes everyday stories
Every interior has its own rhythm and its own moments. In these projects, GREENVIEW roof windows and FAKRO roof window accessories become the backdrop for daily scenes - morning light on a wooden floor, conversations around the table, quiet evenings under the slopes. Internal blinds, awning blinds and external roller shutters help give these moments the right setting, building comfort and atmosphere. See how natural light and carefully chosen details come together to create a personal mosaic of memories.
FAQ
The most effective protection against overheating is provided by external accessories — namely awning blinds and external roller shutters for roof windows. Installed on the outside of the glazing, they stop sunlight before it reaches the glass unit.
Internal blinds reduce light, but they do not protect against heat as effectively as external shading. If the goal is to significantly lower attic temperatures in summer, it is worth choosing an awning blind or an external roller shutter.
To select the right accessory for a roof window, check the following:
This information is located on the data plate placed on the window sash. Based on it, you can precisely match a roller shutter, awning blind or insect screen. Accurate matching ensures proper performance, correct fit and aesthetic installation.
Note: For insect screens, you must measure the lining dimensions — the data plate alone is not sufficient to select the correct size.
Most accessories are designed for quick installation.
Internal blinds are mounted directly onto the window sash. In the case of awning blinds, installation is often carried out from inside the room, without interfering with the roof covering.
Electrical versions require connecting the power supply or configuring the control system.
The WiFi Tuya system allows products to be controlled through a mobile app by integrating with the home’s 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Products can be controlled directly from a smartphone only when they remain within the range of this network. Additionally, WiFi Tuya products can be operated using a dedicated remote control or wall switch. For this, a WiFi/Zigbee gateway is required, which is also necessary for operating solar-powered products through the app.
The Z-Wave system enables product control directly from a remote control or wall switch operating at 868 MHz (the frequency may vary depending on the region). To connect Z-Wave accessories to a smart home system, an appropriate Z-Wave gateway is required — such as Yubii, Grenton, Supla, etc. It is possible to control a product simultaneously via the Z-Wave app on a smartphone and via the remote control. Solar-powered Z-Wave accessories are also available; they do not require wiring and can be controlled directly from a remote control or from the smartphone app via the Z-Wave gateway.
For internal electric blinds, operation is only possible when the window is closed. This results from the mounting method and the design of the guide rails, which are engineered to work with the sash in the closed position.
For external accessories (such as roller shutters or awning blinds), the ability to operate them with the window open depends on the specific model. For example, electric awning blinds are constructed in a way that allows operation regardless of the sash position. In the case of ARZ Komfort roller shutters, the window must be closed to ensure full and proper operation.
Yes. Electric accessories for roof windows can also be installed on manually operated windows. The window does not need to be electric to work with an electrically controlled blind, awning blind or external roller shutter operated via remote control, wall switch or mobile app.
Depending on the model, the accessory may require a 15V DC power supply, connection to a 230V network or a Solar version with a built-in battery and solar panel. Among the internal accessories, the Electro 24V blind is also available — this model requires a permanent electrical connection.
