Electric awning blind AMZ

Electric awning blind AMZ

Electric awning blind is an appropriate combination of effective protection from heat and comfort of use. Due to the fact that the awning blind absorbs solar radiation before it reaches the glazing and emits the heat to the outside of the room, it constitutes much better protectction from tiresome heat in the sunny days than internal accessories. At the same time, it allows the ingress of natural light and ensures visual contact with the environment.  What’s more... placing the awning blind outside the window does not reduce window viewing area.

The awning blind ensures up to 8 times more effective protection against overheating when compared with internal blinds.

Operation via a remote control of fully automatic mode depending on the insolation level ensure excellent protection of the attic space against excessive heat gain.
Electric awning blind provides exceptional ease of operation. Once the awning blind is installed, it is enough to press a button on the remote control or controller and the roof window is covered instantly. The awning can also be stopped at any position.
The awning blind is available in two versions:

  • AMZ Z-Wave is powered by 15VDC mains supply and operated by means of a remote control or wall switch in the wireless Z-Wave system. It cooperates with FAKRO electric products equipped with the Z-Wave system (e.g. FTP-V Electro Z-Wave window or ARF Z-Wave blackout blind). In special cases, the awning can be controlled by a service button situated on it. A 15VDC power supply is required to power the awning.
  • AMZ Solar is powered by solar battery and operated by means of a remote control. In can be controlled using one of three modes: automatic (self-activating rolling up and unrolling dependent on the level of insolation), semi-automatic (self-activating unrolling, rolling up via a remote control), operated via supplied remote control.  The Solar awning blind is powered by a 15VDC battery pack which is built into the cassette and recharged by the solar panel*.

* The Solar type awning blinds should be fitted in places with the solar panel positioned to direct sun exposure. It is recommended to install awnings on south, east and west-facing roofs. Installation in the north side may result in battery discharge and the inability to operate the blind. To ensure correct operation of the automatic mode, the solar panel must be exposed to direct sunlight throughout the active operation mode.

Characteristics

  • Effective reduction of heat from the sun,
  • Installed on the outside of the window,
  • Protection from excessive brightness, whilst maintaining good overall levels of natural light,
  • Protection from harmful uv radiation,
  • Protection from harmful light reflection, especially important when working with computers,
  • Positioned outside, it does not reduce the glazing surface,
  • Effective shading of the interior even when the window is ajar,
  • When used in rainy weather, reduces noise of hailstones and rainfall.

The awning blind is made of durable, weather- resistant fibre glass fabric. The fabric is roller mounted with motor fitted inside an aluminium casing which is installed at the top of the window. In the cloth’s edges, there is a special tape that maintains appropriate fabric tension between the guides and prevents the fabric falling out of the guides. Such fabric and profile joining increases its resistance to wind. This solution withstands wind gusts of up to 120km/h and side wind speed of up to 220km/h.
